Global renewable energy platform Zeigo has contributed to a new price report on European Power Purchase Agreements.
This is the first in a series of European PPA price reports based on data and analysis from Zeigo and published by S&P Global Platts.
The report ‘S&P Global Platts/Zeigo European PPA price report’ shines a light on price differences across four of the most advanced European PPA markets. It uncovers the monthly PPA price trends across the UK, Denmark, The Netherlands & Spain.
PPA pricing data has traditionally been kept a secret in the industry. S&P Global Platts has collaborated with Zeigo to provide bid pricing taken from registered user activity on Zeigo and provide indicative trends for the renewable energy demand based on their search.
The analysis reveals indicative trends for corporate renewable energy procurement. As renewable energy subsidies are withdrawn, PPAs are emerging as the main investment driver in the energy transition.
Juan Pablo comments:
“This data will be updated quarterly, and the intention is to continuously expand the group of data providers. We will continue to add additional countries as more data points become available, including more detailed information on off-taker demand.”
The price report is based on data that is live across the Zeigo platform. Zeigo is fast becoming the platform to source renewable energy across the globe.
