Never has our mission been more important. We are here to disrupt the status quo and get more companies using truly renewable energy. So what else can be expected for 2020?
Before we start, let’s recap the highlights from last year — In 2019, Zeigo joined London’s Sustainable Accelerator programme, which allowed us to consolidate business divisions, branding and win new large corporate clients.
With our unique, data-driven approach we secured key partnerships with leading renewables consultancy Cornwall Insight, market intelligence company Aurora Energy Research, and global tech-sector law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (BCLP).
To top it all off, Zeigo was named 2019’s Renewable Technology of the Year by Business Green after previously being shortlisted for Innovation of the Year.
Opening 2020, Zeigo is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurent Segalen as Non-Executive Director. Laurent Segalen is a Franco-British banker specialised in Renewable Energy transactions. He is the founder of Megawatt-X, the London-based platform for investing in Wind and Solar assets.
“More Corporates want to purchase Green Energy, more Wind and Solar developers cannot rely on Governments Programs to finance their expansion. Zeigo acts as a bridge between those two universes,” said Segalen. “ I am determined to help Zeigo grow to capture that unique opportunity.”
Laurent Segalen co-hosts the REDEFINING ENERGY podcast, ranked by player.fm among the best ENERGY Podcasts. Listen to the latest episode discussing the critical role of data centres in the new Energy landscape featuring interviews with Google & Microsoft here.
What’s more, Zeigo is delighted to announce that we have been selected as part of Innovate UK as one of the most promising #cleantech businesses to attend the 10th Clean + Cool Mission to SF in February. We are proud to represent some of the UK’s most exciting and ambitious clean & sustainability technology companies. It will be an excellent opportunity to meet potential partners, customers & investors.
Finally, Zeigo officially joins Wind Europe, a trade association representing the interest and supporting the growth of the wind industry in Europe. With over 500 members headquartered in more than 40 countries, Wind Europe is the voice of the industry and we look forward to working together to drive innovation in the industry.
